Oven repair cost comes down to two numbers: the $95 diagnostic and the repair price the technician gives you after testing the oven.
The $95 diagnostic
The diagnostic on an oven is $95, and it comes off the repair: agree to the job and the $95 is deducted from the price for parts and labor. You pay it separately only if you hear the price and decide not to repair — and if you change your mind later and call back, it still comes off the repair.
The repair price
The repair price itself depends on what is actually broken, and that is known after the diagnostic: one symptom can have several different causes, each with its own part and its own price. An oven that stopped heating can need an element, a gas igniter or a temperature sensor — three different repairs. The technician tests the oven first, then gives you one price for the whole job, parts and labor, and you decide with that number in front of you.

Oven problems we repair
If your oven is doing one of these, the technician tests the heating, ignition, temperature or control circuit, names the cause and gives you one price for parts and labor — and most parts are already in the van.
Oven not heating
An electric oven that stays cold often has a failed bake element; on a gas oven, the igniter may glow without opening the gas valve. The technician tests the element or igniter, then checks the thermostat, sensor and control board before naming the repair.
Oven not turning on
A completely dead oven can be caused by incoming power, a thermal fuse, the control board or a door-lock circuit left in the wrong state. The technician verifies power first and then tests the safety and control components in sequence.
Oven temperature is off
When food burns or stays undercooked at the selected temperature, the oven sensor, thermostat or control calibration may be wrong. The technician compares the actual temperature with the setting and tests the sensor before replacing a part.
Oven door not closing
A door that hangs open or leaks heat usually has worn hinges, a damaged hinge receiver or a torn door seal. The technician checks the hinges, gasket, glass and frame so the door closes evenly again.
Oven smells like gas
Do not use the oven. Turn it off and call us or your gas utility; the technician can check the igniter, gas valve, burner and connections before the appliance is used again.
Oven controls not responding
Buttons that do nothing or a display that freezes can come from the touch panel, wiring or the control board behind it. The technician checks the keypad response and power to the board before deciding which control has failed.
Wall ovens and double ovens

Why is my oven not heating up?
