Accessibility Statement

We want anyone who needs an appliance fixed to be able to reach us — using a screen reader, a magnifier, a keyboard, voice control, or none of those.

What we are aiming for

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. That is the standard we measure ourselves against. We have not had an independent accessibility audit and we do not claim that this site conforms to that standard today.

What is already in place

Every item below is checked by automated tests we run over the pages of this site before we publish a change — not by a one-off review:

• Pages are built from plain HTML with real headings and landmarks, so a screen reader can move through a page section by section.
• Every page reads in full without JavaScript. The text of a page — including the answers in the FAQ and the captions under the photographs — is in the page itself, not assembled by a script. We check this by running a real text-extraction tool over each page and comparing what it finds against a list of phrases that must be there.
• Photographs of completed work carry text descriptions. Images that are pure decoration are marked so assistive technology skips them.
• Whatever has keyboard focus is outlined visibly. The menu, the photo sliders and the question lists open with Enter or Space, move with the arrow keys and close with Escape.
• If your system is set to reduce motion, the site drops the sliding and fading animations.
• Text is real text rather than pictures of text, so a browser can enlarge it and a screen reader can read it aloud.

What we have not checked

We have not had an independent accessibility audit, and we have not tested this site with screen readers, magnifiers or voice control on real devices. Colour contrast has not been measured against the WCAG thresholds. We have not tested every page with every browser and assistive technology combination. If you hit something that does not work, the fastest fix is to tell us — see below.

We do not use an accessibility overlay widget. Those add a layer on top of a site and promise compliance; they do not fix what is underneath, and in April 2025 the Federal Trade Commission fined one such vendor a million dollars over claims it could not back. We would rather fix the page.

There is always the phone

The phone is our main channel and it is always open. Call 786-643-8833 at any hour — calls are answered 24/7 — and a person will take the details, book the visit and answer questions. Accessibility is not a job that finishes. The checks above run again on every page before each release, and this statement is updated when what we can honestly claim changes.
